Inclement Weather Procedure for Park & Rec Classes

During inclement weather please call 415-581-2540 no earlier than 60 minutes prior to the start of your class. Programs cancelled due to inclement weather will have a make-up scheduled. Once a make-up class has been scheduled, no credits or refunds will be issued for non-attendance. Please be advised that make-up classes may be scheduled on a different day and time than your original class, at the discretion of Lifetime Activities. In the event that we are unable to schedule a make-up, a credit will be issued for the cancelled class at the end of the session. We encourage you to download Lifetime Activities’ CourtReserve app and turn on in-app notification for more updates.
Class cancellations are communicated no earlier than 60 minutes before the start time. Classes may not be cancelled more than 60 minutes before as weather conditions can change rapidly.  There will be no refunds for non-attendance. For any questions, please contact our office.

Air Quality Policy

Lifetime Activities bases the measure of air quality on information provided by Airnow.gov. In the event that air quality levels affect our ability to run programs, the following policy applies:

When the air quality index is RED or higher (151+) all park and recreation programs will be cancelled and issued a make up. It is our aim to inform students via email no later than 60min.

When the air quality index is ORANGE (101-150), all park and recreation programs will continue to run as scheduled. Individuals with air quality sensitivities who opt not to attend may request an accommodation via this form:

REQUEST FORM

All requests for accommodation must be submitted via the form no later than the class start time on the day of the AQI-impacted program. One form per student – please fill out a new form for each family member if there are multiple students in the same program.

Weather may change up to and during class time, management reserves the right to make adjustments based on conditions.

Extreme Heat Policy

In the event that the ambient air temperature reaches 103°F or higher, programs will be canceled, and a make up will be provided.  Participants may contact the office no earlier than 60 minutes*  prior to their scheduled class or camp for updates. The decision to cancel will be made based on real-time weather conditions. Indoor activities and activities that can be relocated indoors are exempt from this policy.
