Court Fees
RESERVATIONS RATES
$12/HR Resident | $14/HR Non-Resident
Reservations are court bookings made 15 minutes or more before court time. When reserving a court in advance, the Reservation Fee is charged for all bookings, regardless of the day/time of booking.
WALK-ON RATES
Walk-on rates are court bookings made less than 15min before your court time, and they are charged the walk-on rates depending of time and day.

Pickleball Has Arrived in Santa Clara
The City of Santa Clara and Lifetime Activities are excited to announce a new Pickleball Pilot Program which coincides with the enhanced resurfacing of the two tennis courts in Central Park near the Community Recreation Center (CRC). The City of Santa Clara has transformed two tennis courts into a versatile community recreational asset that now accommodates the ever-growing interest in pickleball. The two-court tennis facility now features six pickleball courts with blended lines to enhance the multi-sport racquet experience for the community.
The Lifetime Activities Pickleball Pilot Program offers court reservations and free play hours for the community, until the end of 2023. Players must check-in by phone or in person before going to their assigned court.
Pickleball Reservation-Based Play Hours:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Saturday: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Sunday: 12 – 3 p.m.
Pickleball Court Rental Fees:
Residents: $8/hr.
Non-Residents: $10/hr.

Pilot Pickleball Free Play Hours through 2023:
Monday: 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 12 – 1:30 p.m.
Sunday: 3 – 4:30 p.m.
Lifetime Activities will provide appropriate nets during designated pickleball hours. When the pickleball times conclude, tennis play will resume and the courts will remain illuminated until 10 p.m.
Court Reservation Policy at the Santa Clara Tennis Center
- Residents may reserve 7 days in advance (beginning each day at 12pm).
- Non-residents may reserve 5 days in advance (beginning each day at 12pm).
- Reservations are court bookings made 15min. or more before court time.
- Fees are charged for all reservations; regardless of day/ time of reservation.
- Minimum of 30 minutes, maximum of 2 hours rental.
- Reservations must be canceled at least 4 hours in advance or full fees will be assessed.
- Court reservations are forfeited after 15 minutes.
- No-Show & late cancellation fees not paid are required to be paid before next reservation.
- Fees will not be prorated for late arrivals.
- Credit will be issued for unused rain-out time.

Hours of Operation
During School Year
Weekdays: 4pm – Sunset
Weekends & Holidays: 7:00am – 30min after Sunset
Outside School Year
Mon-Sun: 7:00am – 30min after Sunset
1. Any players making a reservation must have a credit card on file.
2. Players checking in must have proof of reservation readily available to claim the court.
3. Call our Lifetime Activities office at 408-247-0178 for assistance if any issues arise.
Rainy-Day Procedure
During inclement weather, staff may close the courts until they are playable. Call us to see if courts are playable. Credit will be issued for paid, unused time if it rains during play. Make ups will be scheduled for lesson and league rain outs.
Tennis Center Rules & Etiquette
- Respect all players at all times.
- Players must check-in at the pro shop prior to play
- Shirts/tops must be worn, non-marking shoes only, no open-toed shoes.
- Keep noise to an appropriate level.
- Keep courts clean. Pick up all balls & throw away any trash in the provided trash cans.
- Wait until the point in play is finished before retrieving a ball from another court.
- Be safe. Do not participate in any behavior that would risk injury to yourself or anyone else.
- Before starting play, ensure the court is free from hazards (extra balls, cans, or other debris).
- City-sponsored lessons only
- NO food, drinks, or chewing gum (water is acceptable)
- NO personal ball machines
- NO wheels (bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters, etc.)
- NO profanities, yelling, or screaming at any time on or near courts.
- NO small children that are not playing tennis
- NO pets
