PICKLEBALL IN SANTA CLARA
We are excited to continue offering pickleball as a key part of our community’s recreational activities! Located in Central Park near the Community Recreation Center (CRC), our facilities now include six dedicated pickleball courts with blended lines, providing a flexible space for both tennis and pickleball enthusiasts. These courts were originally part of the City of Santa Clara’s effort to enhance recreational opportunities and have since become a hub for players of all ages and skill levels. Join the fun and discover why pickleball has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the community!

Lifetime Activities will be providing pickleball nets during designated pickleball hours. Once the pickleball hours conclude, tennis play will resume and the courts will remain illuminated until 10 p.m.

Friday Mornings 9:00am-11:30am
Open Play offers a welcoming space to connect with others and enjoy the game. Players can drop-in without pre-arranging matches—just show up, join the rotation, and play. It’s a great way to meet new people, practice, improve your game, and have fun!
PICKLEBALL LESSONS – SANTA CLARA
Come and learn the fastest-growing sport anywhere! Pickleball is tons of fun to learn and play! Players of all ages, athletic backgrounds, and abilities are encouraged to try this safe and social blend of tennis, ping pong, and badminton. Pickleball is also a great source of exercise! Our classes feature exciting drills and games to help students learn skills while having fun along the way! Classes can be repeated more than once.
New Learners & Beginners (0 to 1.5 rating)
Students learn scoring, strokework, and footwork fundamentals in preparation for doubles play. Pickleball safety, court etiquette, and sport-specific vocabulary are developed.
Learning Objective
– Understanding scoring and positioning prior to the start of a point
– Developing a consistent serve
– Developing a neutral grip that allows for ease of both forehand and backhand shotmaking
– Maintaining a dink rally
– Ball tracking and moving safely on court
